    Description

    Varayoc comes from the Quechua word that means person of legal age, with sign of command and is the head of the indigenous community.
    The varayoc uses a decorated and decorated staff as a command symbol. Normally the indigenous communities nominated as Varayoc the oldest person who exercised his authority with firmness but with justice and fairness, since by their experience and wisdom they led the peasant communities with collective and individual welfare.
    In the district of Pisac, the Varayoc system is denominated as "Wachu" who is the public representative of the set of authorities in the various religious ceremonies.
    This cultural manifestation in the district of Pisac, province of Calca, department of Cuscofue declared as Cultural Patrimony of the Nation.
