Description

Raqchi pottery has been handed down from generation to generation and the historical and plastic memory of the Canchino people has been preserved
The production process of the Raqchi ceramics is complex, starting with the collection of the clay that is found, ground, sifted and mixed with water and sand until a fine texture paste is obtained.
The elaboration of the objects is done by hand, the application of know-how and production techniques of the time, the use of pigments of red, green, black and white colors for the decoration of ceramics.
The iconography of Raqchi ceramics maintains the style of the time in the Tawantinsuyo, composed of a series of decorative representations and symbologies, such as parallel lines, checkers, rhombuses, squares, triangles, crosses, images of plants, insects, birds, fish , snakes, camelids and people in ancient costumes.
