    Condition: Very Good: There is a small chip on the rim. Otherwise this item shows typical ancient patination.

    This ancient jar has a robust form and a complex surface. The design elements on the bottom may represent barnacles, often found on whales. Whales would have been common off the coast of northern Peru
    This item was part of an eastern Sierra Nevada collection that was acquired in the 1960s.
